Mr. Stone, let's hear your Robert Plant tune now! Sea of Love brings a Mediterranean mood to Harmony's tonight. (Clapping as Mr. Stone walks to the spotlight.)

Thank you, Mr. Stone! Clapping and whistles heard.
I would like Harmony to come out to the microphone and say a few words to the audience tonight. Harmony?

.

Okay, folks, the gig is up!

I want a list of all the singers you had in tonight's contest.

I have to investigate whether you allowed non-union singers into your contest.

If they didn't have SCU cards they're busted!!

Oh!!! You say you've never heard of the SCU, eh?

Well, isn't that a good excuse. Hah! You think I'm going to fall for that line, eh?

Come on!! Cough up!!! Where's that list?

What does SCU mean? Song Contest Union? Notice the absence of American Idol judges, recording equipment and unioned crew. A little music for the patrons by the patrons is not a union event. But the cafe did get a licence to cover the public performance aspect of the contest, so the artists will get their residual fees.

Perhaps you'd rather listen to a tune on the jukebox while you sit awhile?

Listen to a tune on the jukebox, eh? I bet you think I'll fall for that, too. Some soothing music and next thing you know a hard working union man like me is fast asleep.

Nope, I'll just stay up here at the counter with my black coffee -- WHICH I DID PAY FOR!! -- and do some cross checking.

Not a union event you say. Let's see, where's regulation 134-6?

I'll get back to you in a bit.

I just put a fresh pot of coffee on if your interested and heres a menu in case you are hungry.

Sugar, cream?

Perhaps some hard rock would do the trick? Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Deep Purple? Definitely
not mellow music.
