Staffers loyal to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton might have removed potentially damaging documents from material sent to a panel investigating the Benghazi, Libya attack, a former official charged Monday. Raymond Maxwell, formerly head of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, made the accusation to the Daily Signal, a publication backed by the conservative Heritage Foundation.
It surfaced as the House Select Committee on Benghazi prepares to hold its first hearing this week.

The State Department called the accusation "without merit." It said the Accountability Review Board that investigated the attack received all the documents it sought.
Four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador, died in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
The review board harshly criticized the State Department’s handling of security at the consulate, blaming “systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies at senior levels.” But it did not implicate Clinton in those failures.
A year later and still no closer to the real facts in the case.
Of course they did, would expect nothing less than the DC shuffle. I feel this file has been mishandled from the start and then the blame game began, and that was pathetic to say the least. It's one thing to say she did, another to prove it when you have to go through the big brick wall of denial.
Do I think it's true, maybe, but it is hard to dismiss it alltogether. It all comes down to who knew what and the fact remains that as Secretary of State and in the end it still ends up on her desk. The red flags were there before this happened and were ignored despite the fact the warning signs grew louder as the tragic day grew closer. This happens far too often so why is the result the same. One has the information of impending violence, yet ignore until it's too late. Why not deal with it before the fact instead of the normal, wait and see if someone dies, then we may do something.
They have gone to great lengths to make this go away, but it will not and should not. Especially when Clinton is considering a run for President. Personally that would be a disaster to put her on the ballot box, actually I don't think there are any good choices from either party. Just the same old song and dance.
