Your First Book and/or library borrow?

Post by kittydiva » Sat Oct 08, 2016 7:01 pm

Hello folks -

Anyone remember his or her first book? Or the first book borrowed from the library? Care to share?

I well remember my first book: "The Animals of Farmer Jones." I could recite it from memory.

The first book I borrowed from the library was a book of poetry for children. And I - quite a bit later - write (adult - no not that kind of adult!) poetry.

Not sure, so long ago. I think it's Dr. Seuss and first library borrow was probably the Nancy Drew series.

Boy, does this bring back a lot of memories, and a great read. Think I read all of them, or at least I hope I did.

Hi mousepad -

Oh, Dr. Suess is always cool; Nancy Drew, too. Glad this brought back some good memories.

Like your avatar as well :)

.

I think I have just realized our Rules Committee may have let one slip by them.

Now let us see how this should be phrased? Feline avatars are not allowed to chase rodent avatars around the board.

Well, maybe I am just paranoid.

But that "like your avatar" sort of jumps out at the paranoid types.

Of course, if I were a feline I might be a little worried about those large ears and maybe want to stay away. Still, the chase is the fun part, isn't it?

Okay, I'll let everyone get back to the topic. Sorry.
