December is the month to vote for your favourite entry in Worldsings. This contest will see an end on Dec. 31 and then move onto the 20 finalists. Give your votes to L Tiernan and help him see Las Vegas and one of the prizes!!

Hi Ciel,

Thank you for the plugs, once again. We'll have to see if Worldsings actually have finals next year or not.

By the way, I just launched a new music video, conceived and directed by Bora Mustafa of Australia. It's completely different from anything I've released before. I was afraid that maybe I couldn't release it because it was so different from my self-image, but then I thought that it is good to explore new things, so it will be distributed to TV stations worldwide.

http://www.worldsings.com/ Another bump to vote for Laurier Tiernan, in 9th place, in WorldSings! Voting ends in 5 days if you are in North American or 4 days and a bit if you are in Asia. Let's give Laurier some more votes to close out 2010!!

You can only vote once. Every vote is appreciated! 8-)

Laurier's video entry kept 9th place during the Worldsings voting, that closed on Dec. 31. Has the musician received an invitation (and tickets and accomodation) to perform in Las Vegas in March 2011 as one of the top 20 finalists? If he did or does this week, that news should be conveyed to all his music fans in North America, if fans can attend the show.

Thank you for all this help, Ciel. :D

Well, I'm still in 8th place, and the competition should officially be closed but from what I understand no competitors have received emails in regards to what is going on (if anything) in the spring, so I imagine there won't be any finals.

A fellow competitor friend pointed out that since they don't have any apparent sponsors, they most likely don't have the funds to follow through with their promises.

It's all good. I've got a million other things to do anyway. ;)

On to the next item on the list. ;)

Thanks again for all your support in this regard.

One bitten, twice shy-that's the saying with an experience or person that lets one down. I poked around the discussion board and noticed competitors did not enjoy losing their personal page touches with only a few hours' notice. Transition requires more lead time than a few hours to keep the regulars happy, free board or not.

That's the way the penny dropped-so sad that some aspects of the competition are quicksand like or subjective to change. The exposure to music fans from other countries-that money cannot buy-on one site is a definite plus!

Yeah, you are right as well. I mean, some people were pissed off about all the time they "wasted" with this, but it was free to join the competition, and as you said, I gained piles of fans from around the world as a result, especially in eastern Europe, oddly enough, and as you said, that's something money can't buy.

Speaking of change, it seems like the WorldSings competition has been moved back again-this time to December 2012.
Music fans can discover new music, vote for their favorite songs, as well as interact with artists and friends. The Top 20 songs of the year (based on community voting) will qualify to compete in the Worldʼs Best Song competition in December of 2012 in Las Vegas.

http://www.worldsings.com/about
There is no "news" or alert about the change. It must be the economy. :|
Ah, spotted a rule change about entries:
Entry Period
All Entries must be submitted by 12:00 a.m. (24:00) Pacific Standard Time on October 1, 2012.

http://www.worldsings.com/contest-rules Another change-it was 2010 late last year.

If I had made a bet on whether the competition would have been held this year, Laurier would have won it.
(The original contest date had been March 19, 2010. http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/new_social_network_for_music_worldsings_launches.php#)
