The finale is underway in Malmo tonight! Whose song will become the "it" song of Eurovision?
Plus there's a theme song written by a duo from ABBA that is on the show tonight!

Not in agreement with the Danish song winning the competition.

Let's see-Scandanavia has been a role in hosting recent competitions:
2010-Norway
2013-Sweden
2-14 (next year)-Denmark

Now Finland or Iceland will have to do well in order to land the opportunity to host the competition from their countries. Iceland would seem interesting as the daylight up in the northerly end of the world might be longer than we experience in North America in the spring.

Koza Mozura from Greece placed 6th with the song, Alcohol is Free.

The party people must be making plans to hear the performers live. MTV, can you air the competition in North America? People wanting to retain brain cells need a change from "reality shows" so help us both!

Ah, May and it's Eurovision time! Rehearsals are underway and you can read about some of the contestants and see their stage outfits as well.

Latvia's entry found adjusting to the presence of many cameras around the stage time-consuming. Also. there were sound issues for one band member. How catchy a title for a song: Cake to Bake?

Will see later more videos of performers. At least music event in Europe still going. Way to get attention for singers less known in world. Want to be in Denmark too!
Happy New Year-2015 now on scene.

Organizers of the contest are stressing that it's not a political event. Russian entrants are not commenting on politics. Ukrainian contestant said situation in her country affected her preparations. Denmark, the host country, is showing inclusiveness spirit to its guests in Copenhagen. There are 26 finalists ready to sing on Saturday.

What fun songs are there in the list-anything for soccer or bbq singalongs? Might want to learn something new to impress the neighbours when I'm at the grill. You know, sound international, and different.

The Saturday night Grand Final social media coverage of the Eurovision contest. Wish I had heard it live to enjoy the audience's reaction and the performances. Will see if there is a replay link.

After securing her victory, Conchita said: "This award is dedicated to everybody who believes in a world of peace and freedom.

"You know who you are - we are unity and we are unstoppable."

Austria's Conchita Wurst won the contest with "Rise Like a Phoenix."

Have not heard of Austria winning Eurovision before. Guess that is where the 2015 contest will be hosted.
