I don't know who most of them are either. These are just my personal views on the very crowded WH run for the big chair. What I don't get is why are millions if not billions being spent for 1 1/2 years of this. What a waste, so many people that most have not heard of before, and with Trump and Bush shouting at each other, the rest are buried in the back ground. The US system is broken, but not beyond repair. They know it's in serious need of repair, but because it's so easy to manipulate, no one will step up to the plate, instead they use it to their advantage.
All these choices and yet I don't see a strong front runner that would take the country in a good direction. Unless things change drastically I don't see the world beign happy about any of these choices.
Starting with the Dems -
Hillary: not a fan of hers, never have been. Disliked her before the major power outage in the east that affected Canada and the US. Blamed Canada even before anyone knew who caused it, and as it turns out Ohio was the issue. Never heard an apology on that one, then again accuses Canada when 9/11 happened. Tried to say that the terrorists came through Canada, blamed us for letting them in and then it gave them access to the US. She is not the only politician that dumped on Canada even after learning that the US and the US alone was responsible for letting them in after they flew from overseas to the US, never set foot in Canada. Others were already in the US and at least one was enrolled in flight school.
That dislike grew after the Bengazi embassy attacks. She had warnings and still did not increase the security and am sick of her denial of everything, people died that day and she is partially if not fully responsible for the decisions she made. I also think that Bill would be a shadow President, I don't think she is capable of doing this on her own.
Lincoln Chafee: I have heard the name before, but that is about it. Don't remember hearing much about it, one of those invisible politicians if there is such a thing. Seems he can not decide what side of the political fence he lies on. Republican, to Independent to a Democrat, that is a lot of change.
Martin O'Malley: Not a clue about his political life, never heard of him before, another invisible politician. But from what I see on Wiki, I am not impressed with him.
Bernie Sanders;
From Wiki - Sanders is a self-described democratic socialist who admires the Nordic model of social democracy and is a proponent of workplace democracy.[4][10][97] Many commentators have noted the consistency of his views throughout his political career.[98][99] He focuses on economic issues such as income and wealth inequality,[5][100] raising the minimum wage,[101] universal healthcare,[102] reducing the burden of student debt,[103] making public colleges and universities tuition-free by taxing financial transactions,[104] and expanding Social Security benefits.[105] Sanders has become a prominent supporter of laws requiring companies to provide their workers paternity leave, sick leave, and vacation time, noting that such laws have been adopted by almost every developed country.[106] Sanders also advocates bold action to reverse global warming and infrastructure investment in the United States, with "energy efficiency and sustainability" as a prominent goal.[107][108] He is opposed to the Trans-Pacific Partnership.[109]
Can't argue with any of this, but if he did manage to come out on top, he would be hitting a lot of resistance whose ideas would be good for the country.
Jim Webb: Another one I have never heard of and definitely not liking what I read on Wikipedia. Sounds like he has some serious issues with a few things and would not think he would be a good choice for President.
Republicans
Jeb Bush: Spent some time in Florida when he was Governor, was not impressed then or now. Not a carbon copy of brother George, but just as bad when if comes to issues. Do not care for his political views and think even less of his wife who tried to get away with smuggling items into the US so her husband wouldn't find out what she spent. Would have been better just to come clean. Lying to border guards, breaking the law makes me wonder about the character when she thinks it's okay to try. Okay, yes she is not running for office, but I don't think with her ability to lie to federal officials makes her First Lady material either. The other day the TV news showed dueling politicians, with he and Trump trash talking each other.
Ben Carson & Chris Christie: Know almost zip about them, but didn't like what I read on Wiki. I would pass them by, do not think either is Presidential material.
Ted Cruz: A scary mouthpiece that seems to shoot off his mouth and little substance coming out. Sure glad he is not running in Canada, and hope/pray he is not going to make it to the WH. That would be a huge step in the wrong direction.
Carly Fiorina: Based on Wiki information, she is ambitious, but not impressed with how she goes about it. Never heard of it, another invisible politician.
Jim Gilmore: One more I have never heard of. Wiki's information on his reforming the school system seems fine, but when you know zip about a politician and the news is only focused on a small handful with louder megaphones to yell into.
Lindsey Graham & Mike Huckabee: Do not like either of these men, hate their politics and would be an awful choice for the big chair.
Bobby Jindal: All I remember about him is in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and was not impressed by him.
John Kasich: Another one I know nothing about, never heard of him before.
George Pataki: One of those that you know you have heard of him, but not much stuck in the mind about his political life. Seems to love tax cuts, but not all for the good.
Rand Paul: Have heard of him, but know zip about him.Just reading this from Wikipedia, has me believing he would be a horrible choice to be running the country. Way to extreme for my taste.
Paul was assigned to serve on the Energy and Natural Resources, Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Homeland Security and Government Affairs, and Small Business committees.[80] Paul also formed the Senate Tea Party Caucus with Jim DeMint and Mike Lee as its inaugural members.[81] His first legislative proposal was to cut $500 billion from federal spending in one year. This proposal included cutting the Department of Education by 83 percent and the Department of Homeland Security by 43 percent, as well as folding the Department of Energy into the Department of Defense and eliminating the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Seven independent agencies would be eliminated and food stamps would be cut by 30 percent. Under Paul's proposal, defense spending would be reduced by 6.5 percent and international aid would be eliminated.[82] He later proposed a five-year budget plan intended to balance the budget.[83]
Rick Perry: My opinion of him is a loud mouth from Texas, looking to cause as much trouble as he can. I think his political views are not good for the state or the country, extreme never comes out on the winning side.
Marco Rubio: From the information in Wiki, he seems to think the taxpayer piggy bank is his own personal account. Again, one I have never heard of before this.
Rick Santorum: Have heard his name before, but know nothing about him. What I read in Wiki, I don't like the mans political views at all.
Donald Trump: The Donald, hard for anyone to avoid him. Personally I think he is a loud mouth, that loves to yell louder than anyone else, extreme views, but he sure knows how to play the crowd and keep their attention. Not WH material, I think he would be a horrible President.
Scott Walker: Never heard of this man before, but from what I have read on that Wiki link, I am not impressed.
