Three Billion Years of Banking

Three Billion Years of Banking

It seems the head of JPMorgan Chase & Co., Mr. Jamie Dimon, is trying to get some U.S. restrictions lifted and is using the interesting technique of citing a three-billion-year timestamp. Yes, you are reading that correctly, three billion years. Yes, I am quoting this strange human correctly.

Well, I am quoting Bloomberg, who is quoting that human who seems to somehow imagine a period of three billion years. I didn't even know they had banks three billion years ago. Actually, I never read anything in the history books about the Caveman Trust Bank even some 60 million plus years ago. ... ning-shot-

In fact, I am just now thinking of what kind of interest we'd be getting if we had put a deposit in that Caveman Trust Bank 60 million plus years ago.

Humans never cease to amaze me. I'm sure Mr. Dimon is going to cite some never-before-heard-of accounting principles that supercede current generally accepted accounting principles in North America?
