Online props for achieving the jump and more time to live life on the ground. At what time do the jumpers decide they won't jump anymore? When kids come along in their families or spouses/partners want to ensure a family life?

I go along with these word CielOnTap, by some rescue crew to possibly the RCMP being "--We're just waiting on a final decision as far as the insurance company and who's willing to pay.” http---"

I consider all of my days of racing m/cs in the paved circuits to dirt competition for those holding it & our cost to enger covered the Ambulance Crew on the waiting in case something happened: I have been called up in the wee hours of the morning that I was to be with a mountain rescue crew of Wardens to one or two guides (no choppers in those days), & if we had an injured mountaineer of our own we managed to get him/her back to a town & then ask for help.

Unfortunately now so many EXPECT them to be rescued if they got lost, in a snow slide, or you name it. To long have volunteer people been doing all the work.

Last of missing Mt. Whitney hikers are safe
October 22, 2010 | 4:12 pm
The National Park Service says two mountain climbers who were listed as missing after a snowstorm blanketed Mt. Whitney walked out of the wilderness area early Thursday morning.

Sina Sadeghi Baghsorkhin, 27, and his father, Abdolreza Sadeghi, 56, were uninjured when they left the area about 1 a.m., roughly 50 miles from their planned exit. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/greensp ... ound-.html

Back in the early 50s or late 40s the President of the Alpine Club on Canada was badly injured in climbing. One chap stuck with him, in his latter hours, while another two made it down looking for help & they made contact with fellow climbers.

As the President passed out on this mountain it took some time, but Govt gave approval for him to be buried on the very mountain as asked by his wife & fellow climbers. No chopper in those years or group to haul out his passed away body for a normal burial.

Level-headed group for that climbing incident, Smitty. Permission is needed to be buried on a mountainside? That does not apply to people who are buried by avalanches but to those whose remains can be retrieved?

Yes, you are correctly seeing a listing about a BASE jump from the newest tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. There is a video, from the jumpers' packs as well as aerial video, of their jumps. The only reason I sought this out is because I read online that the Mission Impossible 4 movie is using the building for some of the film!

It was the Red Tape that was required in Canada back in the late 40s. I am to understand that there was quite a turn-put. This was an agreement upon his wife & himself some yrs back. So really it was not to take to long.

This qualifies as extreme and nuts.

Not on my to do list, it's too dangerous and they are crazy to do it without a net.
