Junior hockey team bus crash - Saskatchewan, Canada

Post by deja vu » Sat Apr 07, 2018 4:29 pm

It is a tragedy hitting all of Canada very hard. This is the winter ritual for all minor league hockey teams, has been for decades. Cars/buses to games in different cities and provinces/territories. There have been other crashes, but nothing like this. At first it was reported 14 dead and now it is 15 dead and 14 injured, including 3 in critical condition. Humboldt, Saskatchewan by all accounts is a small close knit hockey town, most of the players are billeted with local families for the season. At least one player may never walk or skate again.

All Canadians have had or do have family members doing this every season, while they move up the ranks, so the mourning has begun. One lady in Humboldt started a GoFundMe page and in less than 24 hours it has raised over a million dollars.
