Grey Cup

Oh, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats-a second year in the row reaching the Grey Cup! How does the team like its new but oft-delayed stadium (still in progress to finishing, I read)?

British Columbia might be a tad warmer than Ontario and Calgary. Sunday's weather forecast for Vancouver is a high of 1C, feeling like 0. Guess BC will be colder than Toronto (high of 10C, feeling like 7C with drizzle).

Chip and food sales will do well this weekend if fans have not stocked up already nor made plans to watch the game from restaurants and bars.
Frozen? Not I. Love hot drinks and ice rinks.

In the third it's 17-7 for Calgary. Time is running out, with only 5 minutes left in the third, so they will have to get their act together if the Ti-Cats want the Grey Cup.

The halftime show was better than I thought it would be. I have never heard of the American band "Imagine Dragons", but they put on a good show.

Not what Hamilton wanted to happen for the 2nd year in a row. This loss was so close to being a win and feel sorry for the Ti-Cat that cost them the touchdown. He will not get a warm fuzzy reception if he goes back to Steel town aka Hamilton.

Congrats to the Stampeders for the 20-16 win.

In case you missed Canadian football's big game of the year, it was won by the Edmonton Eskimos last Sunday.
Some waved Eskimos flags the size of bedsheets. Team mascots hugged kids and posed for photos. Eskimos cheerleaders performed somersaults in the air and the players signed autographs on stage and tossed tiny footballs into the crowd.

The Eskimos defeated the Ottawa Redblacks 26-20 in the CFL title game Sunday in Winnipeg. It was the team's first championship in a decade, and just two years removed from a woeful 4-14 campaign.

Now fans can wait two months for the NFL's big game, the Super Bowl.

City of Toronto is hosting this year's Grey Cup-the Ottawa Redblacks are playing against the Calgary Stampeders.

The game is at the BMO Field at Exhibition Place near the waterfront. I'm sure concession sales will be brisk as there is a slight chill to the air,
but no snow!

The game went into overtime. Ottawa Redblacks 39 to Calgary Stampeders 33.

Opinion on Toronto's hosting of the Cup and what could be better done in say 10 years' time.

Canada's capital city, Ottawa will be in a really good mood over their team's win in tonight's Grey Cup match.
TORONTO – Henry Burris wasn’t even supposed to play.

The Calgary Stampeders wish he hadn’t.

Smilin’ Hank did a number on his old team, slicing the Stamps defence for 461 yards and a trio of touchdowns through the air.
