NFL - Are you ready for some football

Who will win the big game, will it be played on game day, or moved to another date because of Mother Nature? One thing is for sure, this moose wont be sitting with the thousands of freezing fans in an open air New York Stadium.

Super Bowl-Seattle Seahawks lead with 29 pt vs 0 for the Denver Broncos.

I glimpsed a minute or two of the anthem singing-who had the task of providing that really large flag for that portion of the program?

2 minutes to go and 43-8 for Seattle. That is sad, really sad and I hope that those who bet on the Broncos didn't lose their shirt over this game.

Now it's official, but does anyone know why they call them the World Champs? Aren't the majority of players from the US and some from Canada?

GoDaddy, the company that provides website domain names, took a page from reality TV on Sunday night, and aired a commercial in which a 36-year old engineer quit her job in front of more than 100 million viewers tuning into the Super Bowl.

The spot starred movie actor John Turturro who introduces Gwen Dean from Yonkers, New York, who Turturro said wanted to pursue her dream of puppetry. "I quit, Ted," Dean said in the 30-second spot, addressing her boss while mouthing the words with a blue furry hand puppet surrounded in a room full of puppets. "Ciao baby!"

I don't think it's such a good idea especially if she had a good working relationship with her boss. It doesn't say if she was paid for doing the ad, sucks if she wasn't when you consider what she has put on the line.

She better hope her business takes off or some companies may shy away from hiring her because of this.

The woman may luck out with a social-media savvy arts group--just think of how some personalities take any promotional exposure because it keeps their names on the front pages/top posts of newspaper/blogs/sections.

Flipside is that social media tends to have its content cached somehow online. Just look up Wayback Machine for a selection of archived pages.

NFL Super Bowl-means chip and pop specials at local stores. And possibly a rebate too in the form of a cheque or gift card if $20 of products from sponsor company are purchased. Go, pop, go!

The NFL has a contract with Bose headphones to be the official headphones used by staff/teams before during and after games up to 90minutes post-game. So communication was sent out to all NFL staff and players about the ban on other branded headphones or risk getting fined. The direction is stressing adherence to the rule especially during TV interviews.

Since some players do use other headphone brands in their warm-up/training or post-game activities (and some players have contracts to represent the other brands), there is concern that some players will run afoul of the contract.

Sponsorship 101-get in writing what each side is contributing to a contract. If it weren't for fans who watch football on tvs at home and in public areas, this agreement would have be a one-week wonder before protests would prompt sense into the executives. No eyeballs, no potential market.

Super Bowl 2015

Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots. Beer, chips, cheerleaders, good halftime show and of course the commercials that they pay millions for a 30 second spot. I'll take Seattle, but they need to play better during regulation time and not leave a win until overtime.

Are you ready for some football from sunny but not too warm, 64F Glendale, Arizona?

Fourth quarter-the New England Patriots have 28 points to the Seattle Seahawks' 24 points.

Game watching has created a big appetite for burgers with the works. This week will be one for walking it off.

The Super Bowl game is on tomorrow on CBS in the US. http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/50

Denver Broncos will play against the Carolina Panthers.

If you have not decided on your game snacks or meal, check out the Twitter matchup of Epicurious vs Bon Appetit for a nacho challenge. Each team layered 50 items on their team's nachos. I saw it yesterday and found it amusing. Food bloggers also have ideas for food too, if you follow food blogs.

Sideshow appeal for non-football fans: the 20th anniversary of Pokemon will be acknowledged, there will be movie trailers, Coldplay will lead the half-time musical show, and Doritos will have a fan-ad airing.

Time to get the viewing rooms tidy and set-up for the game!
