Two of yesterday's matches have tied in the FIFA U17 competition:

Two of today's matches are getting close to the end.

Is altitude an issue for international players in Chile? http://www.fifa.com/u17worldcup/destination/index.html

Sepp Blatter's in the hospital to recover from a small emotional breakdown. Mr. Blatter and UEFA president Michael Platini were given 90-day bans by FIFA recently in relation to investigations about ethics and money.
The criminal case centres on whether Blatter misused Fifa money by making a 2m euros (£1.35m) payment to Frenchman Platini for consultation work. They both deny any wrongdoing.

Seven candidates will stand in Fifa's presidential election to succeed Blatter on 26 February.

March 8 is International Women's Day. What great news to read that FIFA will be adding more women to senior positions within the organization.
Billie Jean King, the former tennis professional, was in the news this week encouraging many professional sporting bodies to get into the 21st century and
put women into key roles.

UEFA soccer will be on during June & July. Are YOU ready for all the action? Need to find a local hangout for big-screen viewing.

In Toronto, a major paper listed some restaurants/bars that will follow UEFA:

Handy that any country team affliations were mentioned in the article.

Newspapers are reporting about soccer fan hooliganism during Euro 2016: Russian fans went after English fans before the soccer match ended. Fights happening after other matches. Definitely not a #FairPlay situation for fans.

A Russian executive is alleged to have tweeted encouragement to Russian fans to keep rioting?

Not a good international public relations story as Russia will be hosting a 2018 soccer tournament-perhaps that tournament needs to be taken away...

There is another soccer tournament happening over in the Americas: it's the Copa America!

Many international soccer fans likely know of male South American soccer players with impressive soccer skills.
Well, here's a female Brazilian soccer sensation who can compete superbly!

More support for women's soccer is building slowly in Brazil.

Rather curious that Russian police had to tip off French police about some of the Russian fans. Those who are deported will not have their visas cancelled-so what happens if they return to France?

A potential for a situation to develop during Belgium's team play in the Euro Cup prompted Belgian authorities to conduct a raid.

Online media indicated that Hungary and Iceland had a draw (1-1 by overtime penalty kicks)in their soccer match. Glad that Iceland is giving other Euro teams some chilling soccer action. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=2016/matches/round=2000448/match=2017962/postmatch/report/index.html

How are Portugal and Austria faring? 0-0 http://euro2016.tsn.ca/

How the country standings are at the Euro Cup 2016-looks like Hungary has enough points to put Iceland out of further games.

Austria is out of the Euro Cup. Iceland is still in the game!

I have to find out if there are Iceland fan videos of their country's team efforts so far.

Italy leads Spain 1-0 at the 86th minute in today's game.

Look, England and Iceland have a match today. Iceland is making some serious soccer history at Euro Cup 2016! Think that country's shirt
might be worth looking for as a souvenir of the tournament.
