Some secrets are harder to keep than others. For an ambitious young actor, being told to keep mum when you’ve just landed a major and much-coveted lead role is tough enough. But when you suddenly discover you’re about to become an internationally adored 907-year-old genre icon with two hearts and 11 consecutive distinct personalities ... it’s pretty much impossible.

It will be hard to replace David Tennant. He is so popular but this new Doctor may succeed. The first episode aired this weekend and the reviews
are really good.

So many personalities-not too unlike what the premise was for that late Heath Ledger film about an imaginarium. Though in the movie, the character sold his soul to the devil. I don't watch Dr. Who, so I don't know how he got his ability to move through time or space.

907 year genre? What's with that number.
Anytime a new actor with some good looks gets a ready role, well he can coast on looks at first then he has to be the role/character.

Probably the most popular Doctor and his companion will be back for an anniversary show. David Tennant and Billie Piper for one night only.
BBC airs it in November, I hope this side of the pond wont have to wait longer than that to see the anniversary show.

Actor Peter Capaldi has been announced as the new star of BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. The 55-year-old Glasgow-born star will be the 12th actor to play the Doctor, replacing outgoing lead Matt Smith.
Capaldi is best known for his role as foul-mouthed spin-doctor Malcolm Tucker in the BBC series The Thick of It.

It's about time, because Matt Smith just didn't come across as a good Doctor. David Tennant was a great Doctor and Matt just could not
fill his shoes. The new Doctor takes over in November.

I thought he looked familiar. I had to look it up to find out why. He was in one episode of Dr. Who when Tennant was the star and a 2 part episode of Torchwood that I recognized him from. He played the nasty, slimy, crooked politician with no regard for human life on the 2 part "Torchwood, Children of the earth."
He should make a great doctor.

Re: Doctor Who - The New Doctor Is In The House
Time flies and a new Doctor Who will be introduced on their Christmas episode.
Finally a lady will rule the tardis. I have seen this actress in the mini series Broadchurch, and think she will be a good
addition to this show.
