Wear green for Saint Patrick's day tomorrow if you are into clothing themes. Will harmony offer any games of chance that might yield some green (money) if not a pot of gold?

Got a bit of green on my jacket lining. Harmony's got various green patterned decorations inside the cafe and there's some live music during lunch service. Of course there are some green foodstuffs and a bit of green beer.

Ate green-frosted cupcakes at work and had green Kool-Aid yesterday. I work a green-striped shirt and some shamrock earrings. I LOVE themed days!

May 1-prepare for Cinco de Mayo or May 5 celebrations for Mexico's holiday. The sun's been coming out warmer and stronger so beach or sun clothing and hats are becoming necessary. Have to buy sunscreen for hands-those rays are coming through the windshield very strongly.

There needs to be a new calendar month event for sending off the end of the previous month. Income taxes were due in April.Though I read in Canada, there was an unexpected extension to May 5-cause to celebrate north of the US/Canada border! :D

Happy Fourth of July to our US readers and members! Think safety with pools, food handling and fireworks then things should be comfortable for everyone and pets!

I like summer drinks like most do. Just don't slurp on those straws if they come with your drinks--it annoys one's hearing in rooms!

Rock and roll is playing on the jukebox. I've got several kinds of ice cream to serve in bowls or waffle cones. Summer's just fine! :D

Ice cream is still relevant in a hot August month! Thinking of midway foods at summer festivals too but need to cool off with some frozen treat in a waffle bow. Mint chocolate chip please, harmony!

Breezy day and there are kites flying in parks! You can fly into here and enjoy some good food to help you get on with Saturday!

Soup and sandwich combos are the specials and don't forget some dessert for here or to go. Mellow guitar music to keep things easy is playing on the speakers.

Summer's coming to a close and fall is a few days away. Wanting warm weather to remain for another week or two and give flowers and vegetables more time to show off their colours.

Ice cream sundae, not hot chocolate!

On the topic of growing things, scientists have noticed a virus in the soil of really old seeds that were planted recently:

Not liking this news at all.

Changing the glassware in the café so there's much washing, drying and packing/unpacking going on.
Menu's simple today: burgers, chili, and shepherd's pie. No soup, no sandwiches. Have fries and hot dogs for those who want simple food fast. Many sweets are here: muffins, squares plus a couple kinds of donuts. It's that kind of week-warming but with a touch of chill during the days.

Come bend my ear (not literally) for a chat while you dine. Some new magazines and papers are on the reading rack if you want to enjoy some quiet time.

Water water everywhere-need a boat with a motor. Brolly is not keeping all the wet off of me. Sad start to day, finding out many pedestrians
getting struck during the worst of the rains early this morning.#SlowDown drivers.

November-leaves are ok but don't talk about Black Friday sales or Christmas. December is to take care of the holiday matters like presents.
You see, you don't need an app to appreciate free time. It's less stressful as well.

Harmony, how about a hot sandwich of the day and some of those scones I hear good words about? Need to get some Friday night shopping done but food is first!

A few twinkling LED lights and some small Christmas static displays are all I do to make the café reflect December and the advance of Christmas.
Christmas cookies are on the dessert menu if you must have your spices and fruits.

Gas stoves lend a charm of their own during shorter daylight hours. Good for gazing and thinking over matters while the kettle heats up water or soup or whatever.

Have acoustic guitar music playing in the café. Come in and have a break.

I can understand the appeal and ease of online shopping but remember that warehouse work life is full of metal racks, little acoustic dampening, and concrete floors reflecting white lights. Hard on a person.

Harmony's Café has been busy this year-come and spend a bit at the counter. We'll see something from harmony when she's not rushing through her fall menus or activities.

Got some coins for the jukebox-the rain calls for some easy listening music!

Turned the kitchen's calendar page over to October on the weekend and I am surprised we are in month 10 of 2016.
Busy here in the cafe. There are warm drinks, cold drinks and room temperature drinks. Games corner has
seen some action in the past month with the college crowd and adults wanting a break from
phones and computers.

Fall here and spring in Brazil. There's a hurricane Matthew causing trouble over the water in the Atlantic Ocean.
I'd rather be here than on a beach right now. What about you?

A big pot of tea for me, Harmony, and a plate of sandwiches, the more toasted and buttery the better! Was out doing some gift shopping and elbowing
through people in the mall and a few standalone shops. Time to get some energy back into me and give my feet the gift of rest.

Colouring books are fun to find but the prices for colouring materials-oy! Knitted things to keep warm required lots of searching as stocks are getting iffy or missing sizes (that got sold out). Had most fun finding the food items-got some sampling done and bought a couple of impulse food items to enjoy at home.

Ready for the cafe's specials of the day! Something sugary for dessert but a submarine sandiwch or hearty soup and sandwich will be an ideal starter.
Dibs on the corner booth!
Hey, there are new boardgames to enjoy-I will set one up right now. Want some relaxation time.

Late night lasagna beckons and so does hot chocolate drink! Harmony also has some hot rolls to pass around-looking forward to enjoying them with dinner.

Being on Twitter to find an actor's account and by way of Wikipedia, realizing he was connected to a former actor through radio programming. It's one year today since Jerry Doyle (Garibaldi on Babylon 5 science-fiction tv series) passed away.

Hard to believe he's gone but it's true. Some of his castmates have passed away before him. Maybe they still joke around in the afterlife like they did on the show.

I must not be alone in having been busy with real life that social media postings drop as a result. Well, fall is here and so am I.
Keeping aware of the store changes in US retail and occasionally what's happening in Canada too.

Amazon and Whole Foods Market will learn how holiday shopping orders fare this year for their key retail quarter of the fiscal year.

With the colder temperatures, my thoughts turn also to the US states still dealing with hurricane damage from August as well as the Caribbean nations.
I read that one nation won't get flights from an airline as the damage to infrastructure is great. That has got to hurt the tourism sector.

Happy New Year, everyone! 2019 is going to be another roller-coaster. Some prices went up, some stores and companies went down.

All I need now is some of Harmony's lovely hot food and tea with a cake slice. Cheers! :D
